Kenneth Kraegel will speak at Marquette Park Playground (Gary) on July 5
Come hear award winning children’s author and illustrator, Kenneth Kraegel, read from his work during Marquette Park Playground’s Super Storyhour. A drawing will be held to give out copies of Kraegel’s books. Super Storyhour is every summer Wednesday, 10am-noon, at the Marquette Park Playground on the southernmost shore of Lake Michigan.
Participating children are eligible for free sack lunches and free city bus transportation. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Kenneth Kraegel grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana. He is a self-taught illustrator and the creator of picture books. His books have won awards from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Kirkus Reviews, The New York Public Library, The Chicago Public Library, the Parent’s Choice Foundation, the Bank Street College of Education, the International Literacy Association, Amazon, and the Junior Library Guild. He is also a tutor for people with reading challenges, such as dyslexia. He now lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but still considers himself a Hoosier.
