Kaveh Akbar

Kaveh Akbar is the author of Pilgrim Bell and Calling a Wolf a Wolf, and editor of The Penguin Book of Spiritual Verse. His poems have appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the Paris Review, and in The Best American Poetry. Born in Tehran, Iran, Akbar teaches at Purdue University and in the low-residency MFA programs at Randolph College and Warren Wilson. He serves as the poetry editor of the Nation.
